Yes! All breeds and sizes are welcome at Happy Paws.
We evaluate every dog individually during their temperament assessment rather than by breed. Our focus is on each dog's personality, energy level, and play style to ensure they are placed in the right playgroup for a safe and enjoyable experience.
For the safety of all dogs in our care, we require the following up-to-date vaccinations:
- Rabies
- Distemper/Parvo (DHPP)
- Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
We also strongly recommend the Canine Influenza vaccine.
Vaccination records must be provided and verified before your dog can attend any daycare or boarding stay. If you have questions about these requirements, feel free to reach out!
Your dog's safety and comfort are our top priorities at Happy Paws. Every dog must complete a thorough temperament evaluation before joining group play. During this assessment, we carefully introduce them to our facility, staff, and other dogs in a controlled setting.
We observe their behavior, energy level, and social cues to determine the best playgroup match. Your dog will only play with compatible companions who share a similar play style and temperament, ensuring a positive, low-stress experience for everyone.
All play sessions are continuously supervised by our trained team, with appropriate group sizes and constant monitoring to keep interactions safe and fun.

Help your dog arrive calm and ready to play with these simple steps:
- Ensure they are comfortable around other dogs.

- Keep morning excitement low - a relaxed, low-stress drop-off helps them settle in faster.
- Confirm they are current on all required vaccinations.
On their first visit, your dog will complete a full temperament evaluation. We'll provide a detailed report card at the end of the day.
Your dog is continuously supervised by our trained staff. We maintain an attendant with every playgroup at all times.
Dogs are separated into small, medium, and large playgroups based on size, energy level, and temperament to ensure safe, compatible play and reduce the chance of overstimulation or conflict.
This structured approach allows us to monitor interactions closely and provide a fun, secure environment for every dog.
